Princesses Kick Out Cancer
for Simon and Caliope
We are taking a big leap this year and sponsoring 2 families who have children with cancer. Because of that we will have more characters, more activities, more vendors, more food trucks, and more magic for you!
A little about our spoonsor children:
Calliope- Age 4
Calliope was diagnosed w/ Leukemia on April 24th of this year. She has been through 3 month-long rounds of Chemo and is currently working on her fourth. She has been responding well and is as feisty as ever.
Calliope has 4 big brothers, and a baby sister. She loves spending time with all of them, playing with toys, and watching cartoons. She loves to do art and crafts especially the messy ones!
Calliope loves superheroes. Her favorite super hero is Wonder Woman; which her family affectionately refers to her as. She also enjoys Monster High, Princesses, and My Little Pony.
When Calliope grows up she would like to be “the boss of doctors".
Simon- Age 5
Simon LOVES Batman, Legos, Curious George, and his baby sister. He loves and misses his cousins.
He was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma early this year. He's doing OK right now- just finishing up his first stem cell transplant. He is scheduled for another one
He's technically No Evidence of Disease right now but it's a tricky cancer so we have to stick to the treatment plan. We hope to be done by St Patricks Day.
Princesses Kick Out Cancer is a free event. You can come out and spend the night with your family chatting with our amazing characters. We hope that when you are there you see something fun to do. If you participate in any of the activities that cost money, we will pass on 100% of those funds to our sponsor families.
